The problem of marine litter in the region discussed at the online meeting

On December 2 and 3, ANMSU employees took part in an online working meeting of representatives of the NOWPAP (North-West Pacific Ocean Action Plan) member countries, dedicated to the problem of marine litter in the region, which is part of the UN Environment Program. Representatives of all countries of the NOWPAP region: Japan, Korea, China and Russia participated in the meeting. The reports were devoted to the problem of marine litter and waste management. From Russia ANMSU staff took part in the meeting. Candidate of Technical Sciences, Dean of the Faculty of Environmental Safety and Shelf Development, National Coordinator for the problem of sea pollution S.Yu. Moninets became the moderator of the first section. Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Safety in the Oil and Gas Complex D.S. Zadoya, made a presentation The first results of the waste management reform in the Russian Far East. Senior lecturer P.P. Zatsepina and expert of the Scientific and Educational Center of Maritime Transport and Spatial Logistics S.M. Smirnov participated in the working meeting as listeners.
