Professor O.A. Bukin joins the Board of Experts of Remote Sensing Journal
In November, the director of the scientific and innovative complex “Marine Technopark” of the Nevelskoy MSU, Doctor of physical and technical sciences, Professor Oleg Bukin joined the Board of Experts of the Remote Sensing Journal. Leading scientists in their fields, regularly publishing their works and conducting multi-stage examinations of scientific papers, are admitted to the Board of Experts. The scientific journal Remote Sensing is published by MDPI, one of the world largest publishing houses, and has been included by Scopus in high-ranking scientific publications with an impact factor of 4.118. Remote Sensing topics focus on passive and active sounding of the ocean and weather readings, marine robotics and artificial intelligence, multispectral and hyperspectral remote sensing, image processing, etc. Maritime University has reached a high level of research in the development of methods for monitoring the ocean and atmosphere and marine robotics, creating elements of artificial intelligence for marine robots. Research is underway to develop autonomous marine robots capable of monitoring oil pollution and able to ensure their control in accordance with the requirements of the MARPOL Convention.
