The next Regatta of Cruiser Yachts Admiral Nevelskoy Cup
August 1-5 the Nevelskoy MSU organized the 38th Regatta of Cruiser Yachts Admiral Nevelskoy Cup in the waters of the Amur and Slavyanka Bays. This Regatta is one of the most popular in the Far East; annually it brings together a fleet of more than 60 yachts with over 300 athletes from different cities and towns of Primorye. This time the race was complicated with flat calm sea, and the finish of the yachts dragged on from one until six in the morning. That is why the start of the race of the second day had to be postponed, and the race itself had to run at a reduced distance, since in the afternoon an environmental action was planned for garbage collection on the coast of the spit of Minonosok Bay. It should be noted that the yacht crews responded to this initiative. We thank everyone who took part in the environmental action! Sunday, the final race started on schedule. The wind was enough for the yachts to arrive quickly and the results were not long in coming. On August 5, the winners and prize-winners of the 38th traditional Regatta Admiral Nevelskoy Cup received their well-deserved awards at the Nevelskoy MSU Rowing-Sailing Complex. Rector of the Maritime University Denis Burov, Vice-Rector for Property Management and Capital Construction Maxim Vedenyov, and Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Alexander Yuzov congratulated all the participants of the competition on the completion of the Regatta and awarded them. President of the Sailing Federation of Primorsky Krai, vice-president of the All-Russian Sailing Federation Mikhail Ermakov took part in the awarding ceremony.
