Russian underwater roboteers compete in the Maritime University pool

On May 11, the control swims of the regional stage of the International Underwater Robotics Competition MATE Russia Far East Regional ROV Competition 2019 were held in the pool of the Nevelskoy MSU. 15 teams from Vladivostok, Moscow, Novosibirsk, Tomsk, Krasnoyarsk, Murmansk and Tolyatti are taking part. Vladivostok is represented by the teams of the Nevelskoy MSU and Robotics Development Center. The underwater robots were controlled not by professionals, but by schoolchildren and students, the youngest of them were students in grades 1-4. According to the results of the MATE Russia Far East Regional ROV Competition 2019, the teams from Vladivostok again became winners in the categories Navigator, Ranger and “Water IRS”. The Ranger teams can claim the right to represent Russia at the international competitions to be held June 20-22 in Kingsport (USA).
