The NTI Circle Movement and the Maritime State University to prepare a new generation of roboteers

The NTI Circle Movement and the Maritime State University are launching the Project Engineering Competitions in Marine Robotics. It is intended to prepare a new generation of technological leaders in the direction of the National Technology Initiative (NTI) Marinet, to create and integrate into the educational process a whole system for preparing schoolchildren and students for Russian and international technological competitions. “The implementation of this project will allow us to disseminate the experience of our University in working with school and student teams and involve hundreds of young talents from different regions in the movement,” said Denis Burov, project manager, Nevelskoy Maritime State University rector. “Today, all key competitions in marine robotics are held in Vladivostok, the country's strongest teams capable of adequately representing Russia in the international arena are concentrated here”, – noted the president of the Association of participants in technology circles Alexei Fedoseev. As part of the project, since 2020, annual competitions in underwater robotics are planned with the participation of 100 teams and more than 1000 schoolchildren and students across the country, the best of whom are to represent Russia at prestigious international competitions. Annual summer and winter schools planned for the training of qualified mentors, at least 120 mentors are to be trained within three years.
